Here is Ron Gabel's answer to question number 11683

Question:

I have a 16 ga sxs made by Gustav Bittner. I have not been able to find any information on this shotgun. From markings on the barrel I believe it is made in 1907. I believe that this is a high quality gun. The reciever is intrecutley engraved. There is some engraving on the barrels. It is a hammerless gun, has load indicators. ejectors and double trigger. Would like to have some idea of value. Would this gun be a keeper? Any information will be appreciated.

Answer:

Gustav Bittner was a Czechoslovak gun maker 1893 to 1939.
