Here is Ron Gabel's answer to question number 13814

Question:

I am currently researching my next project, which will be building a 1770's Lehigh/Northampton rifle. I am a big fan of your books on the Northampton and Lehigh school, but I was hoping you could suggest a location to see examples of these rifles in person. I would possibly like to get more detailed pictures and maybe handle one in person, its been a dream of mine to get to handle one in person. I have visited the Jacobsburg museum but their current exhibit only features the Boulton guns. Thank you for any suggestions you may have!

Answer:

I can suggest that the Kentucky Rifle Association has a CD which includes a great many good photos of Lehigh Valley area guns. The CD is available from the Association for something like $25. I assume you are in the Lehigh Valley area since you have visited Jacobsburg, you are welcome to visit my collection if you are interested.
