Here is Ron Gabel's answer to question number 13885

Question:

Hi, Ron, I inherited my granddad's rifle, which was signed on the barrel by S J Heston, who you refer to in a question from 2006. I am reaching out for advice on how to learn more about Heston? I have data on a possible match on Ancestry.com, but no confirmation that he is the same. Thanks for the guidance! -Jon

Answer:

Samuel J. Heston was located in Reading PA. 1865 - 1870, and later in Worthington Indiana 1882 - 1885.
