Here is Ron Gabel's answer to question number 13886

Question:

I have an old Lincoln Jeffries revolver top break action with first prize Melbourne 1889 and winner of the field 20 guinea also prize London 1879 on the sides of barrel I have pictures was wondering what value would be also when top break is used on bottom price of steal is stamped 1 thanks for any info I could receive?

Answer:

Lincoln Jeffries was located in Birmingham Great Britain circa 1873 - 1900 at 31 and 42 Whittail Street and at 121 Steelhouse Lane. The Melbourne and London prize notations were placed an a variety of Jeffries products in the late 1800's.
