Here is Ron Gabel's answer to question number 13891

Question:

I was wondering if you had any guns made by an A Prindle. He is my 4th great granddad and is buried in a cemetery 3 miles from my folks in Jameson, Missouri. I found a Prindle gun on another site and my dad bought it but their house burned and so did the gun. The metal works are in tack but the stock was burnt. Any help would be appreciated.

Answer:

I do not have any guns by A. Prindle. A. Prindle is listed as being an unlocated gunsmith who was a maker of half stock percussion rifles. There is a J. Prindle gunsmith located in Richmond Missouri in 1854, perhaps same family.
