Here is Ron Gabel's answer to question number 317

Question:

What is the price for an antique rifle made in france before 1899. the rifle name is: Le PAGE FILS ARQet A PARIS It is a musium peice double rifle. The above makers name is inlaid in gold between the barrels. All the metal works is heavily inlaid by gold as well as there is some inlaid on the main parts of the wood work, which it self, engraving and well carved. The underside of the trigger guard and the sides of the flints are inlaid by nice gold pictures.

Answer:

I believe your Paris made shotgun could date back as far as 1792. From your description is is obviously a rather valuable gun. I believe you should contact one of the major auction houses like Christies for an estimate of value. Be sure to provide them with a complete set of good photos.
