my question is ,can you tell me any thing about an old double hammered gun with the name george fisher on it? i have tried to find out this information with no success. but i honestly don't know where to look. i purchased this gun as a gift for my husband, and i would like to find out a little of it's history before i give it to him.the date , where it was made, who was george fisher? i have read about several different (george fishers) that i can't figure out the era of this firearm.if you can help me i would be greatful

Answer:
Shotguns marked George Fisher were made in Belgium by Henri Pieper and were imported by Schoverling, Daly & Gales in the late 1890's.
