Here is Ron Gabel's answer to question number 5610

I just got a Davenport 32RF with a centerfire block. Patent 12-15-1891. Can't find any info about it in any of my gun books. Wonder it you might know anything about them & a ball park guess to its value. We gauge it at very good, when you consider the age. Thank you for anything you can tell me. Dewey

Answer:

Davenport guns were made c. 1881 to 1902. William H. Davenport worked in Providence RI and in Norwich CT.
