Here is Ron Gabel's answer to question number 6458

Question:

I am trying to find out if this shotgun was manufacture before 1900, its 16ga Double Barrel with hammers and double triggers and the only markings are W.Jeffery & Son and Number 6 or 9 stamped on the bottom of the barrels. Thank you for any help, Jon

Answer:

William Jeffery & Son shotguns were made in Plymouth, Devon, Great Britain at 12 George Street about 1869.
