Here is Ron Gabel's answer to question number 6459

Question:

I would like to find out the value of 2 shotguns that my father owned. One is a Stevens Model 235, double barrel and the other has a Winchester stock but on the top is says,"L.C. Smith maker of Baker Gun Syracuse New York. This is also a double barrel.

Answer:

The Stevens model 235 retails at $300 in good condition. The LC Smith was manufactured in Syracuse New York from 1880 to 1888. An approximate value for standard production Baker patent model guns in very good condition is $125 to $225.
